CELLULITE.

I have it... there are times when I have less of it and times when I have more of it.

Many, many people have cellulite - all different bodies.

So what is it and how do you reduce or eliminate it?

Cellulite occurs when parts of your skin are pulled down by fibrous connective bands. Fascia.

It also has a lot to do with weak, inelastic skin.

Then we have to talk about circulation... lymphatic drainage.

This is about permeability - and ESTROGEN (thanks hormones!)

Combine that with inadequate amount of muscle and body fat in the area of your body... BAM! Cellulite.

So what I am saying is cellulite doesn't occur because of ONE thing. It's a multi-layered process.

I may not be able to pinpoint WHY you have it but you can go through the checklist below and work on eliminating it:

1 - Estrogen dominance. Get a full panel blood test done.. We need a balance of estrogen and progesterone. There are a lot of lifestyle factors that contribute to this is an issue for you.

2 - Increase your collagen consumption. This will help with ALL skin issues. Collagen is huge for elasticity.

3 - Build more muscle. Prioritize strength training 3-4 times per week. Make sure you're continuing to challenge yourself as you get stronger.

4 - Lose body fat. Body fat can push through those connective bands. Think of pushing something squishy up against chicken wire.. that's what cellulite is like.

5 - Improve lymphatic drainage and circulation. Exercise, move your body, dry brush and massage.

6 - WEAR THE SHORTS. LIVE YOUR LIFE! Do i love my cellulite? No. Do I want it gone? Yes. Do I let it control what I do, what I wear or how I feel about myself? NOPE!
